Trinidad evening

It’s Cuba. 🇨🇺  About half an hour after taking this photo, I was using WiFi in my casa to post this entry, and suddenly all the electricity went out and we were plunged into darkness. Very localized darkness, really only a block or two of this small town. On another block someone started up a generator to keep their lights on. I took advantage of the darkness to take in some evening stars and a cooling breeze on the rooftop terrace.

Lesson of the day

Yesterday we decided to walk to old Havana, we ended up taking this bicycle taxi thing that are only meant for 2, but the 3 of us got on. The driver said it was $10, so yolo. The bike ride was 15 min max. It was pretty cool, if we hit a bump you really felt it. We arrive to our destination and give the guy $10. He tells us it’s $10 each. Not $10 total. So we don’t fight it we give the guy his money and go. We meet up with Mike S and his friend Collin and found out they got a $5 car taxi and we got ripped off. We visit the Museum of Revolution and grab some food and go home. We find out the rest of our group who split off, took a bike taxi like us, and paid $10 total. For 4 people. Lesson learned.
